Checking-up homework: “Tell me please what was your homework? Did you do?” Their homework was to write composition about “My summer holidays.”

Presentation: “Today we will speak about tenses. Tell me please how many tenses exist in English language? Please come to the blackboard and write them.

Do you remember their grammatical formula? To remember them now we will do some exercises.”

Practice: “Now we will do some exercises to fix the new grammatical material.” Open your books on page 11 and do exercise 7.

Production: “Make up your own sentences using this grammatical material. Have you finished? Let’s begin checking your sentences!”
Their homework: “Put down your homework! Ex. 9 page 12 and ex. 14 page 13. Stand up! The lesson is over! Good bye!

Presentation: “Present Perfect Continuous.”
“Today we will speak about the Present Perfect Continuous. What do you know about this tense? What kind of tense is it?
The “Present Perfect Continuous” is used to express an action which began in the past is continuing at the present (яғни бұл шақ белгілі уақыттан басталып және әлі жалғасып жатқан іс- әрекетті білдіреді). The Present Perfect Continuous is builds up by auxiliary verbs “have, has and been V+ing. Now I will write its grammatical formula on the blackboard.
Have, has been V+ing
For example: I have been studying English for 7 years.

In negative form of the Present Perfect Continuous we use “not” with the auxiliary verbs.
For example: I haven’t been running.
In interrogative form we use question “how long”
For example: How long have you been running?

Practice: “ Now pupils let’s do ex. 5 on page 15 and then ex. 8 on page 46.

Production: “And now you should make up your own sentences using The Present Perfect Continuous.”

Homework: Ex. 9 p.46, ex. 8 p. 17

Presentation: “Positive, negative and interrogative forms of the Present Perfect Continuous. And verbs that express a state as to like, to hear, to love, to know, to seem, to hear, to feel.
“Today we will speak about positive, negative and interrogative forms of the Present Perfect Continuous. And also about verbs that express a state.
The positive form: I have been studying English for 7 years.

In negative form: I haven’t been running.

Interrogative form: How long have you been running?
Come to the blackboard and write your own sentences!
Verbs that express a state are not used in the present Perfect Continuous.
For example: I have known him for 2 years.

Practice: “ Now you will do some exercises. Open your books on page 47 ex. 10.

Production: “And now you should make up your own sentences using positive, negative and interrogative forms of the Present Perfect Continuous. And verbs that express a state as to like, to hear, to love, to know, to seem, to hear, to feel.

Presentation: “Present Perfect Continuous (The Second Meaning).” “Today we will speak about the second meaning of the Present Perfect Continuous.
It shows an activity with a result in the present. With the help of word “because” we can recognize the second meaning of the Present Perfect Continuous.
For example: I’m exhausted because I’ve been working all day.
There are some verbs that have the idea of a long time and they are: to wait, to work, to run, to swim.
For example: I’ve been working since I let school.
There are some verbs that don’t have the idea of along time: to buy, to break, to lose, to find, to start.
We can’t use these verbs in the Present Perfect Continuous.
For example: I have lost my passport.”

Practice: “ Now you will do some exercises. Open your books on page 24 and do ex. 12.

Production: “And now you should make up your own sentences using the new grammatical material.”

Suffixes of nouns:-ation, -ion, -ness, -ity, -ence, -ment, -sion, -er.
Suffixes of adj.: -ous, -y, -tific, -ly, -ful, -less, -ial, -ent.
